Holistic Approach to Reduce Offshore Wind Turbine Costs

As offshore wind continues its remarkable growth, surpassing 75GW of global installed capacity in 2024 with the expectations of reaching 300GW+ by 2030, there is an increasing demand to reduce overall capital expenses (CAPEX) and operational expenses (OPEX). EPRI in-collaboration with DTU and other HIPERWIND partners have been addressing these wind industry challenges by developing cutting-edge methods for turbine loads, performance, health, and reliability assessments ensuring reduction in costs and improving annual energy production (AEP).

European Workshop Week

The 8th EPRI European Workshop Week, will gather focused workshops on high priority topics for the industry including Technology Innovation Hydrogen Economy, Water-Energy, Market Design, Energy Storage, Cybersecurity, Model Exchange, Nuclear Technology Wind and Solar Generation, DER Flexibility, Control Centre. Participants from utilities, EPRI subject matter experts, regulators, government organizations, oil and gas companies and other invited guests will bediscussing the latest findings from applied research projects and to define collaborative responses to the challenges facing the energy transition.
